Green and low-carbon transformation of chemical parks is imperative.


General Secretary Xi Jinping made important instructions on the occasion of the first National Ecological Day on August 15, emphasizing that the construction of ecological civilization is a fundamental plan related to the sustainable development of the Chinese nation. Implementing the call of the General Secretary, strengthening the strategic determination of the construction of ecological civilization, and establishing a high-quality ecological environment to support the high-quality and sustainable development of the chemical industry are undoubtedly the most urgent tasks that the industry must pay attention to and practice.

The establishment of the National Ecological Day shows that the country is more determined to implement the new concept of ecological development, and the action force to enhance high-quality development guided by green and low-carbon is stronger, indicating that the requirements for ecological green and low-carbon will be tighter in the future.

In recent years, many chemical parks have been "wiped out" due to serious ecological and environmental protection problems ". The chemical industry park urgently needs to rationally find and seriously deal with the problems in the development process. The urgent task is to take the first national ecological day as an opportunity to raise the ideological understanding of the importance of green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading, adhere to high standards and strict requirements, and always Be consistent with the national ecological strategy; in action, we must take more pragmatic hard measures, and make greater determination and greater efforts to effectively promote green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading.

To this end, learn from the domestic chemical park green low-carbon transformation leader, practitioners and to build a "zero-carbon enterprise" pioneer practice, combined with research and thinking, put forward some suggestions.

First, we should pay attention to the strategic planning of green and low-carbon transformation.Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone is the first to propose green transformation and development in China, and has formulated the strategic positioning of the petrochemical industry to fine, green, high-tech, high-efficiency, and high-value-added development, and comprehensively and systematically plan new measures to promote green and low-carbon development. Shanghai Jinshan chemical industry takes the initiative to benchmark the world's first-class, accelerate the transformation of high-end, refined, low-carbon and green chemical parks, and strive to build a 100 billion-level high-end green chemical industry, which is worth learning from.

Second, we should pay attention to the recycling of resources.Ways of resource utilization such as water reuse, by-product and waste recycling and resource utilization. Like Jilin Chemical Industry Park, taking the transformation and upgrading of Jilin Chemical Industry as an opportunity to promote the circular development of petrochemical parks and achieve carbon reduction at the source; improve the recycling rate of petrochemical products and promote consumption carbon reduction; at the same time, pay attention to the construction of a petrochemical waste recycling system, which promotes energy conservation The effect of emission reduction is more obvious.

Third, we must practice green and low-carbon in all directions.As Syngenta's first "zero-carbon factory" in China, Syngenta Kunshan Factory has always put "green" throughout the whole operation process, such as changing forklift oil to electricity, switching to green packaging, planning to build photovoltaic, etc. The plant's output value will increase by 17% in 2022, while energy consumption per unit of output and carbon dioxide emission intensity will decrease by 11.3.

Fourth, we should pay attention to the promotion of the use of green low-carbon mature technology.More successful cases, such as the green treatment process of high-salt wastewater can save 63% of energy, and the integration of "geothermal + scenery, energy storage, refrigeration and heating" can reduce costs and increase efficiency by at least 40% in chemical parks and chemical enterprises. The utilization of carbon capture resources, new technologies and materials with transformative low energy consumption and high efficiency, hydrogen energy technology, and the industrialization of green and low-carbon chemical technology will not only help accelerate the transformation and upgrading of green and low-carbon, it is also conducive to the sustainable and high-quality development of the industry, and is more conducive to building a new pattern of chemical development in the new era.

In short, the green and low-carbon transformation of chemical industry is imperative. Chemical parks must have ideological and action consciousness, take the green and low-carbon transformation as a strategic first priority, guide chemical enterprises to implement the ecological development concept, reduce carbon in development, achieve higher quality development in carbon reduction, solidly promote the green and low-carbon transformation, and contribute chemical wisdom to the millennium plan of ecological development.
