The Ministry of Ecology and Environment has issued seven national ecological and environmental standards, including "Tank sampling for the determination of 65 volatile organic compounds in ambient air/Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry"

In order to support the implementation of relevant ecological and environmental quality standards, risk control standards, and pollutant emission standards, as well as the implementation of international conventions, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently released the "Tank Sampling/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of 65 Volatile Organic Compounds in Environmental Air" (HJ 759-2023), "Technical Specification for Continuous Monitoring of Non methane Total Hydrocarbons in Waste Gas from Fixed Pollution Sources" (HJ 1286-2023) Determination of Smoke Blackness in Fixed Source Waste Gas by the Ringman Telescope Method (HJ 1287-2023), Determination of Acrylic Acid in Water Quality by Ion Chromatography (HJ 1288-2023), Determination of 15 Ketone and 6 Ether Compounds in Soil and Sediments by Headspace/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (HJ 1289-2023) Seven national ecological environmental standards, including Determination of Toxaphene in Soil and Sediment Gas Chromatography Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (HJ 1290-2023) and Coding Rules for Monitoring Points of Surface Water Environmental Quality (HJ 1291-2023).

The first revision of "Tank Sampling/Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of 65 Volatile Organic Compounds in Environmental Air" (HJ 759-2023) is applicable to the determination of 65 volatile organic compounds in ambient air and unorganized emission monitoring points. Compared with the original standard, this standard adds the air at unorganized emission monitoring points in the scope of application, improves the requirements for sampling technology and performance indicators of pretreatment and quantitative methods, supports the collaborative control of fine particles and ozone, and monitors the implementation of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

The "Technical Specification for Continuous Monitoring of Non methane Total Hydrocarbons in Waste Gas from Fixed Pollution Sources" (HJ 1286-2023) is the first to be released, which stipulates the requirements for the composition and function, technical acceptance, operation and maintenance, quality assurance and control, as well as data review and processing of continuous monitoring systems. It is conducive to promoting the standardization and standardized application of non methane total hydrocarbon continuous monitoring technology in fixed source management, Support the implementation of standards such as the "Emission Standards for Pollutants in the Petroleum Refining Industry" (GB 31570-2015).

The "Measurement of the Blackness of Exhaust Gas from Fixed Pollution Sources by the Ringmann Telescope Method" (HJ 1287-2023) is the first published method applicable to the measurement of smoke blackness at the discharge outlet of fixed pollution sources. It solves the problems of inconvenient carrying, limited placement, and easy fading of the Ringmann blackness chart, further improving the accuracy and comparability of smoke blackness measurement results, and supporting the implementation of standards such as the "Emission Standard for Boiler Gases" (GB 13271-2014).

The "Ion Chromatography Method for the Determination of Acrylic Acid in Water Quality" (HJ 1288-2023) was first published and is suitable for the determination of acrylic acid in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, and industrial wastewater, filling the standard gap in the analysis of acrylic acid in water. This standard has the advantages of simple pre-treatment method, high sensitivity and good repeatability, and supports the Emission Standard of Pollutants for Petrochemistry Industry (GB 31571-2015), Emission Standard of Pollutants for Synthetic Resin Industry
