Dye Industry: Taking Realizing the People's Desire for a Better Life as Our Duty
The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that "high-quality development is the primary task of comprehensively building a socialist modernized country", "we should adhere to the theme of promoting high-quality development", and "promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry". The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China placed the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in a more prominent position, and made accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and vigorously cultivating the development of emerging industries a top priority for green and high-quality development. It pointed out the direction for China's dye industry and also created a grand blueprint for industry development.
Following the strategic deployment of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to strengthen the country, the dye industry will strive to achieve the goals and tasks proposed in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continuously promote the modernization of China's dye industry, fully meet the needs of the people in terms of clothing, food, housing, transportation, and other aspects, and achieve the people's aspirations for a better life as soon as possible.
In order to better implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the association should first comprehensively promote the optimization and upgrading of the structure of dye products. Vigorously promote the construction of intelligent factories and improve the intelligent management of energy conservation and green safety production. In recent years, the independent innovation capability, industrial technology and equipment level of China's dye manufacturing industry have significantly improved. Promoting green manufacturing and safety production, guiding enterprises to gradually transform into green enterprises, has become an industry consensus. In the future, the association will also vigorously promote the clean production process of dyeing pigments and create a green and safe production environment.
Secondly, we need to vigorously promote technological innovation in the dye industry. Since the 14th Five Year Plan period, large-scale enterprises in the industry have basically established research and development centers (research institutes or engineering centers), and the number of patents and standards issued each year is hundreds or more. Industry innovation has shown fundamental changes and entered a new stage of "leading" independent innovation. The future association will continue to guide enterprises above designated size to become research-oriented organizations, continuously improving industry basic research capabilities and applied research levels.
Once again, we need to vigorously promote the development of functional dyes and new materials. Functional dyes are a type of dyeing pigments with special functionality or specialization, characterized by physical or chemical changes of molecules under the action of light, heat, and electric fields. At present, functional dyes have been widely used in high-tech fields such as solar cells, medical diagnosis, liquid crystal displays, color filters, photoresists, optical disc recording, medical diagnosis, targeted drugs, and medical treatment in developed countries. However, functional dyes have not yet entered the industrialization stage in China, and their application in the above-mentioned fields is still in a blank, requiring urgent breakthroughs.
The people's yearning for a better colorful life is the goal of dye workers. Under the leadership of the China Dye Industry Association, a group of enterprises, universities, and research institutions have established an "industry university research" expert team (expert committee) for basic research and application development of dyes. Guided by the needs of the people's livelihood market and major national projects, this team has discussed the difficulties and hot issues in current scientific and technological research in the dye industry and determined the research and development direction. At present, they are developing functional dyes such as photochromic dyes, fluorescent dyes, infrared absorption or camouflage dyes, thermochromic dyes, humidity sensitive (thermosensitive) coatings, as well as electrochromic dyes, laser dyes, special colored polymers, solvent color changing dyes, far-infrared insulation coatings, etc. These high-end dyeing pigments will be the future of the dye industry
